BLEACH* Festival celebrates its 12th year with the most extensive lineup in history! The Gold Coast’s signature arts and cultural festival features over 300 artists and 218 performances throughout 38 events. There will be activities in five locations: North Burleigh, Broadbeach Cultural Precinct, Gold Coast Botanical Gardens, HOTA, Home of the Arts, and Currumbin Valley, including city-wide activations from August 3 to 13.
With easy access to Currumbin and Burleigh Heads, plus Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise are easily accessible via the Gold Coast Highway, experiencing all the festival offers will be a breeze! Here’s your guide to the 2023 BLEACH* Festival.
ROLLER COASTER at HOTA Outdoor Stage
August 3 – 5
This new music theatre play at the HOTA Outdoor Stage is powerful and dynamic, with humour, heart, and an infectious live soundtrack. Roller Coaster is an explosive show with you on the edge of your seat as hundreds of local roller skaters, an epic live band, and an all-star cast collide on stage.
BLEACH* at NORTH BURLEIGH
August 4 – 6 and 11 – 13
It all starts and finishes at the BLEACH* Love Your Local North Burleigh Hub right on the beach! The North Burleigh Hub features dance performances, learning to create fire and play traditional drums, and listening to some of the Gold Coast’s top musicians in the sunshine. Stay for a drink at the BLEACH* Club, stay all day, or drop in.
All North Burleigh programs are family-friendly and free; however, some may require reservations. Check out the event websites and register as soon as possible.
ACOUSTIC LIFE OF SHEDS at CURRUMBIN VALLEY
August 5 – 6
Acoustic Life of Sheds returns after the sold-out event in 2022! It will take place in several locations throughout Currumbin Valley. So why not take your car and drive through the verdant Currumbin Valley’s twisting roads?
Enjoy this year’s musical trip in renowned rural sheds and enjoy the stage’s secret stories. This musical road trip is an authentic bucket list experience, with site-specific works performed in each of the numerous sheds.

Explore the enchantment of burlesque, theatre, stand-up comedy, drag, spoken word, and much more at the Broadbeach Cultural Precinct, which takes place across numerous pop-up locations. More than one visit here is needed since it is brimming with remarkable demonstrations of inventiveness.

The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens offers a carefully crafted selection of musical delights. If you want a magical setting, the Botanic Gardens’ outdoor centre, nestled amid the trees, will be filled with melody and rhythm, transporting you to another planet.
