“Connell’s stand-up was sharp and accessible” – Herald Sun
One of the most active comedians in the country, Daniel can be seen sharing a stage with comedians like Jimeoin, Glenn Robbins, Denise Scott and Dave Hughes. If you would like to book Daniel for a corporate event he can be contacted via the contact section on this website.
Daniel first launched himself into the comedy world’s face in 2009 in Canberra’s Green Faces emerging comedian competition, winning the Canberra heat and placing third in the national final.
Daniel became a regular on the Canberra scene, performing in comedy-loving venues like the Civic Pub Comedy Club and The Phoenix Pub and became a regular on the 96.7 Queanbeyan FM Friday Night Sports Show.
Daniel Connell could easily be described as the ideal Aussie comedian; affable, loveable and hilarious. His observational, dry, often unanticipated comedy has seen him take to stages all over the country.
Driven to further his career in comedy, Daniel moved to Melbourne in 2010 and quickly established himself in the local comedy scene. You can see him now, as he was then, performing at venues all over Melbourne, such as comedy hot-spots such as the Spleen Bar, Five Boroughs and The Comics Lounge.
In 2015, Daniel performed “The Get Out Stakes”, a show about his struggles with a gambling addiction at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Perth Fringe Festival and The Canberra Comedy Festival.
In 2016, Daniel will bring his brand new show ‘Resting Face’ to Perth Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
