Eco-Explorers School Holiday Program
For kids of up to nine years, the Eco-Explorers School Holiday Program is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with the environment, learn about animals and conservation, and leave their mark with a variety of fun and educational workshops taking place in Currumbin – just moments away from Princess Palm.
Involving creative activities, exploration, walks, stories, games and more, the Eco-Explorers School Holiday Program will comprise of several individual sessions that kids can pick and choose from. These will include learning about plants in Plants That Talk, butterfly spotting in Beautiful Butterflies, study of rock pool creatures in Tidal Pools, lizard discovery in Lively Lizards, scientific water testing in the Mystery Program, and feather hunting in Feathers.
The sessions will be happening throughout April, and will each take place in the morning from 9am to 11am. Head to the Gold Coast and get them enrolled during April 8 to April 18!
Horror in the Hinterland
One part of this year’s Gold Coast Film Festival, Horror in the Hinterland is the chance to enjoy an evening of thrills in Springbrook National Park with two big movie screenings.
Horror in the Hinterland will come to a secret location in Springbrook – just a short drive from our Currumbin accommodation – and will serve as the premiere screening of The Furies, the brand new debut film from Australian director Tony D’Aquino. The Furies is a thriller movie that follows seven abducted women who are forced into a deadly game of survival – don’t miss it to find out what happens!
There will also be a second screening of comedy-horror The Cabin in the Woods, the 2012 blockbuster that featured global Australian star Chris Hemsworth!
All you have to do is invite family and friends and bring a picnic blanket along, as there will be snacks and drinks will be served onsite. If you’re a fan of horror or if you just love a good outdoor movie under the stars, don’t miss Horror in the Hinterland on April 13. The full 2019 Gold Coast Film Festival will be from April 3 to April 14.
Bleach* Festival 2019
The signature Gold Coast festival returns with another unmissable program of live music and theatre, workshops, art installations and more this April!
Bleach* Festival comes each year to showcase talented performers and creators from all over the country, bringing with it bustling crowds and an exciting atmosphere that’s not to be missed for all ages. The diverse program aims to inspire and deliver new ideas as well as push the boundaries of outdoor performance, and it takes place for more than a week!
The Seven-Year Switch is one of the many Bleach* events taking place near our resort, and will be inviting seven and seventy-seven year-olds for a creative workshop of dancing, games, stories and activities. It will span over two days, and is a must-attend for anyone intrigued by the seven-year cycles of life.
For more exciting events you can also head over to Burleigh Heads, just a short drive from our Palm Beach accommodation, which will be Bleach* Festival’s main hub for 2019. As well as the Bleach* Club – the official Bleach* Festival bar – there will a huge program of events to catch taking place right on the beachfront! Just some of these events will include Tectonic, On This Land We Gather, The Cleaners, Poseidon’s Music Box, Pyrophone Juggernaut, You Should Be Dancing Minis, Pub Choir as well as live music performances from Montaigne, Kira Puru, Mama Kin Spender, Eliza and the Delusionals, DVNA and more.

International Netball Festival Gold Coast
If you're a big fan of netball, don’t miss the 2019 International Netball Festival near our Palm Beach apartments, as it will be taking over Palm Beach and the surrounding areas for over a week!
Clubs and schools from all over the world will be coming to participate with three exciting game days to look forward to. There will be lots more to enjoy throughout the festival, which will include kids’ activities, meals and celebrations. This year’s International Netball Festival will hang around for nine days, so make sure to be there as there will be plenty to take in.
The 2019 International Netball Festival arrives April 19 and will finish up on April 27.
